Few states can match the defensive muscle that the 2021 MaxPreps preseason Indiana state football team can flex. Led by a dominant defensive line, Hoosier State is home to some of the country’s top prospects and players.

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

QB: Brady Allen, Gibson Southern (Strong Branch) | 6-5 | 295 | Sr.
Purdue commit is a Nationwide Top 20 quarterback prospect. IFCA Top 50 All-State last year. Enter the senior season with 7,665 passing yards, 91 passing touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Also rushed for 11 TDs.

QB: Tayven Jackson, Center Grove (Greenwood) | 6-4 | 195 | Sr.
Tennessee’s engagement threw for 1,756 yards and had 23 touchdowns last season to lead the Trojans to the Class 6A state title. Top 15 quarterback prospects nationwide. Contains 34 offers.

RB: Micah Hauser, Westfield | 6-5 | 295 | Sr.
Ran for 941 yards and 11 TDs last year en route to earn IFCA Top 50 All-State honors and help the Shamrocks finish second in 6A state. Double as standout safety (207 career tackles). Has 2,284 career versatile yards and 22 touchdowns.

RB: Lavarion Logan, Merrillville | 5-11 | 205 | Sr.
Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 6A last year after running for 1,492 yards and 23 touchdowns.

WR: Omar Cooper, Lawrence North (Indianapolis) | 6-5 | 295 | Sr.
Indiana commit is the state’s primary receiving prospect. IFCA Top 50 All-State last year after catching 38 passes for 1,101 yards and 14 touchdowns. Had 53 receptions for 1,024 yards and 13 touchdowns in second year.

WR: Nathan Anderson, Homestead (Fort Wayne) | 6-0 | 170 | Sr.
Selection of all junior states from IFCA class 6A last year. The three-star prospect has 15 offerings, including the military, navy, and several MAC schools. Engaged in western Michigan.

TE: Jeffrey Simmons, fishermen | 6-6 | 203 | Sr.
The Miami, Ohio, pledge is one of the state’s top 20 prospects. Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 6A last year after catching 26 passes for 350 yards and five touchdowns. Holds eight deals, including Indiana, Rutgers and Cincinnati.

OL: Joey Tanona, Zionsville | 6-5 | 295 | Sr.
Notre Dame’s commitment is one of the top 20 tackling prospects nationwide and the State’s No.4 prospect, regardless of position. IFCA Top 50 All-State and MaxPreps First All-State Team last year.

OL: Demon Moore, Fort Wayne Snider | 6-5 | 315 | Sr.
Indiana commit is one of the top 30 potential domestic linemen in the country. MaxPreps first All-State team last year.

OL: Landen Livingston, Lion | 6-4 | 280 | Sr.
The top 20 potential domestic linemen nationwide signed up in West Virginia. IFCA Top 50 All-State last year.

The state’s best overall outlook is a tackle in the Top 10 nationwide. Contains 63 offers. Engaged in Kentucky. IFCA Junior All-State Class 3A selection last year.

OL: Ashton Craig, Lawrenceburg | 6-5 | 283 | Sr.
Notre-Dame’s engagement is one of the top 10 prospects in the state. IFCA Junior All-State Class 3A selection last year. Holds 25 deals including Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern, and Florida State.

K: Ben Fronk, New Prairie (New Carlisle) | 6-3 | 170 | Sr.
IFCA Junior Class 4A selection last year after scoring 3 out of 5 goals with a length of 56 yards. Also averaged 35.4 yards as a kicker and had 36 tackles and four interceptions as safety.

SECOND TEAM OFFENSE

QB: Maximus Webster, Westfield | 6-2 | 225 | Sr.
The Ball State entry was an IFCA Junior All-State Class 6A selection last year.

RB: Peyton Guerzini, Castle (Newburgh) | 5-11 | 185 | Jr.
Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A last year in sophomore after running for 1,526 yards and 15 touchdowns.

DD: Colin Price, Zionsville | 6-1 | 190 | Sr.
Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A last year after running for 1,394 yards and 10 touchdowns.

WR: Brody Glenn, Bishop of Fort Wayne Luers | 6-2 | 180 | Sr.
Led Indiana in receiving yards last season with 1,265 and 16 of 65 receiving touchdowns for the 2A runner-up. Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 2A and second team MaxPreps All-State last year.

TE: Tyler Dostin, Danville | 6-6 | 235 | Sr.
Kent State’s engagement is a three-star prospect. IFCA Junior All-State Class 3A selection last year.

TE: Max Sullivan, Whiteland | 6-6 | 235 | Sr.
The three-star prospect is committed to Ball State. IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A selection last year.

OL: Hunter Whitenack, New Prairie (New Castle) | 6-7 | 290 | Sr.
Illinois engagement is among the top 15 prospects in the state. IFCA Junior All-State Class 4A selection last year.

OL: Keylan Davis, Ben Davis (Indianapolis) | 6-4 | 270 | Sr.
One of the top 20 prospects in the state. Uncommitted. Holds eight offerings, including Indiana, Purdue, West Virginia, Kentucky and Cincinnati. Selection of all junior states from IFCA class 6A last year.

OL: Cooper Koers, Cathedral (Indianapolis) | 6-6 | 265 | Sr.
The three-star prospect has signed up to Princeton. IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A selection last year. Holds 14 offerings, including Air Force, Memphis, Toledo, Tulane, and Ball State.

IFCA Junior All-State Class 4A selection last year. Holds offers from the State of Indiana and Colombia. Uncommitted.

IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A selection last year for receiver. Projects to be finalized in college. Has Air Force and Western Michigan offerings.

DL: Kenneth Grant, Merrillville | 6-4 | 334 | Sr.
One of the top 10 overall prospects in the state. Holds 15 deals, including Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. Uncommitted. Selection of all junior states from IFCA class 6A last year.

LB: Domanick Moon, Fort Wayne Snider | 6-2 | 218 | Sr.
Purdue commit is the best linebacker prospect in the state. IFCA Top 50 All-State last year.

LB: Jeff Utzinger, Cathedral (Indianapolis) | 6-2 | 205 | Sr.
Indianapolis All-City Defensive Player of the Year and MaxPreps All-State Second Team last year. Uncommitted. Holds four offers (Akron, Ball State, Eastern Michigan and Eastern Kentucky).

CEO: Dasan McCullough, Bloomington South | 6-5 | 220 | Sr.
The Indiana signing and the state’s No.2 overall prospect was named the 2020 MaxPreps Kansas Player of the Year after racking up 75 tackles, four interceptions and four forced fumbles at Blue Valley North (Overland, Kan. ). Transferred after his father, Deland McCullough, accepted a position as associate head coach and running backs coach at Indiana University. Originally engaged in the state of Ohio. Contains 43 offers.

DB: Kalen Carroll, Center Grove (Greenwood) | 6-1 | 170 | Sr.
Cincinnati’s engagement is the state’s best hope for cornerback. Second-team MaxPreps All-State last year.

Indiana commit is the state’s second overall junior prospect. Also has offerings from Michigan, Utah, Penn State, Florida, and Arkansas.

AP: Drayk Bowen, Andrean (Merrillville) | 6-2 | 215 | Jr.
The nation’s top junior linebacker holds 25 offers, including Notre Dame, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M, Oregon and Texas. Selected IFCA Junior All-State Class 2A and Second Team MaxPreps All-State last year after recording 80 tackles, 13 TFLs, five sacks, one interception, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one blocked basket. Has scored six touchdowns on offense.

One of the country’s top prospects was recently named to the 2021 MaxPreps 2021 All-American Team pre-season second team. A five-star kicking prospect won Kohl’s Midwest Spring Showcase punting competition to earn a spot in the 2022 Under Armor All-American game.

SECOND TEAM DEFENSE

DL: Isaiah Street, Brownsburg | 6-5 | 225 | Sr.
West Michigan’s engagement is among the state’s top 25 prospects. Iowa State, Ball State and Eastern Michigan also donated.

DL: Kiel Eldridge, Heritage (Monroeville) | 6-5 | 230 | Sr.
Toledo commit is one of the top 20 prospects in the state. Arizona State, Cincinnati and Purdue among its seven offerings.

DL: James Schott, Center Grove (Greenwood) | 6-4 | 215 | Sr.
The Miami, Ohio, pledge is one of the state’s top 20 prospects. Holds eight deals, including Michigan State, Marshall, and Ohio.

DL: DJ Allen, Léo | 6-7 | 225 | Sr.
One of the state’s top 15 prospects has pledged to Rutgers. Holds 21 deals, including Michigan, Northwestern, Iowa, Michigan State, and Nebraska.

CEO: Zaven Koltookian, Concord (Elkhart) | 6-4.5 | 210 | Sr.
One of the top 25 prospects in the state. Uncommitted. IFCA Junior All-State Class 5A selection last year. Holds the Eastern Michigan offer.

The West Michigan engagement is one of the state’s top 25 prospects. The three-year-old starter has career totals of 84 tackles, seven TFLs, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

The state’s No. 2 security prospect holds offers from Memphis, Princeton and Penn.
DB: Dillon Thieneman, Westfield | 6-0 | 190 | Jr.
IFCA Junior All-State Class 6A selection last year in second year. Holds the Purdue and Marshall offers.
