Buffalo Bills could play Beaver Stadium next season

In a recent report by Thad Brown of, the Buffalo Bills plan to build a new stadium that should be completed by 2025 or 2026. By then, the Bills will need a stadium to play their home games, and Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is an option.

The team’s lease expires in 2023, which would leave the Bills without a stadium until the new one is built. Another option for Buffalo is to extend its lease. Otherwise, the team will continue to search for a temporary home.

State College is approximately 200 miles from The Bills Stadium in Buffalo, New York. Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is currently one of the largest football stadiums in the country, whether college or professional. It can seat 106,572 fans, surpassing the most seats in the NFL at MetLife Stadium.

Former five-star linebacker signs up for Ohio State

Former five-star linebacker Palaie Gaoteote signed up with Ohio State. He previously spent three seasons at USC before entering the transfer portal this offseason. Although there has been no official announcement of his transfer, Gaoteote’s name can be found on Ohio State Online Student Database.

Gaoteote was the No. 15 rookie and the nation’s No. 1 inside linebacker coming out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to the 247 Composite sports rankings.

The Buckeyes lost starting linebackers Pete Werner and Baron Browning in the NFL draft this year. Gaoteote would instantly fill the void if the move went official.

With the Trojans, Gaoteote appeared in 17 games and recorded 105 total tackles and 7.5 tackles for losses. He only played two games last season due to injury and the shortened Pac-12 Conference schedule.

Ohio State opens the 2021 football season on September 2 against Minnesota.
