the Potsdam Royals from German football league having signed Finnish All-Star running back Karri Pajarinen.
Pajarinen is delighted to join the GFL semi-finalists:
“I’m delighted to be joining the Potsdam family and joining Jake in the backfield. With the Roosters we have a long history of winning culture, and that’s what I’m looking to bring with me and help the team compete for a championship.
The 5’10 “, 205-pound backer was part of the Finnish central Helsinki Roosters since he started his football career at age 13. The 23-year-old was one of Maple League the best running backs of recent seasons and a staple of the Finnish national team since 2017.
Last year, Pajarinen ran for 259 yards and three touchdowns in five games for the Helsinki Roosters. In 2019, the Finnish finished the season with 846 rushing yards, good for third place in the league. Along with his skills on the pitch, Pajarinen is also a qualified wide receiver out of the backfield, earning praise from Potsdam trainer Michael Vogt.
“Karri is a very explosive running back and a great receiver out of the backfield. Our racing game will be more versatile thanks to it.
The running back of the national team joins the GFL defending ground running champion Jake Mayon in the Potsdam back field. the Royals also re-signed defensive back Adehkeem Brown (Quincy NCAA D2), Abou Daramy Swaray (Colgate NCAA D1 FCS), with the addition of linebacker Fillipo Fort.
